Imperfect, to say the least

Don’t you sometimes wish you were a different person?  Don’t you sometimes regret aspects of yourself that you wished you could just jettison and be done with?

Of course, there’s psychotherapy, pills, and religion ready to take care of whatever problem you may have. But there’s always a price, isn’t there?  Sometimes too high a price to accept.

So, often, you find yourself stuck with whatever character traits you dislike most in yourself.  I guess there are people who are blissfully content with exactly “who they are,”    but I must admit I find it difficult to believe.

I bet most people are like me.  We struggle with the parts of ourselves that aren’t as we’d wish they’d be.  Seems to be part o’ life.
